MistyWest, a product development consultancy based in Vancouver, required non-alcoholic refreshments for over 400 guests at an invite-only event in Las Vegas. Seeing an opportunity to build brand recognition and place MistyWest right under the noses of party-goers, I designed labels for a limited edition batch of custom-flavoured seltzers.

Aptly titled MistyWater–a tongue-in-cheek nod to the company’s name–the cans had a minimalist label that adhered to their brand guidelines and a matte-black finish. Ensuring that there would be no missed chance for brand discovery, a small QR code with text inviting guests to learn more about MistyWest was applied to the side of the label.

MistyWater was a runaway hit at the event, quenching guests’ thirsts and leading to many inquiries into where this drink came from.
